VSR (Vassar Student Review) is the literary and arts magazine of Vassar College. We publish and provide outlets for the creative endeavors of our fellow students, including fiction, poetry, essay, painting, photography, sculpture and other works. With support from the Vassar Student Association and the Department of English, the magazine is published annually in the spring, in print and online. We feature the best literary and artistic works of Vassar students.
Pieces are reviewed anonymously after they are submitted. Authors and artists are encouraged to attend editorial critique sessions to receive feedback on their work. The identity of the author is withheld. If a work is not accepted, we gladly take revisions. We understand that creating a work of art is a process.
